“A quality engineered solution provided to give a turnkey solution for compliance with greater autonomy and reliability.

Objective

To Provide emissions abatement solution to 14 number 1,500kWe diesel generator sets on a Capacity Market STOR site allowing it to be operational whilst still complying with Medium Combustion Plant Directive (MCPD), and the Environmental Permitting Regulations (England and Wales) January 2018.

Installation

A solution comprising of fourteen of NOxProtekt 600-3 Selective Catalytic Reduction units supported by a frame structure allowing for thermal expansion and vibration isolation, with an upgraded modernised exhaust pipework. Each pair of units were controlled by a urea control panel directly linked to the main system panel which was in turn connected to the site generator control system. A pressurised piped ring main containing urea fed via a bulk storage tank completed the design.

Summary

The installation was a successful example of a quality engineered solution provided to give a turnkey solution for compliance with greater autonomy and reliability.
